About the Award
The Jasleen Manhas Memorial Scholarship is open to students enrolled in the Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy (ACMT) program. The scholarship was established to honour the extraordinary life of Jasleen Manhas, whose greatest gift was making people feel valued.
As a Registered Massage Therapist and co-founder of Dieta Wellness Inc., she combined clinical excellence with genuine compassion, ensuring every client felt safe, heard, respected, and cared for. She believed healing began with human connection and dedicated herself to easing both physical pain and emotional burdens.
This scholarship celebrates students who demonstrate perseverance in the face of adversity and a sincere desire to improve the lives of others, carrying forward the compassion, resilience, and selfless spirit that defined Jasleen's life. It serves as a reminder that the greatest healthcare professionals are not only skilled in their craft but are deeply committed to caring for the whole person.
Eligibility Information
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in the ACMT program, 1st or 2nd year
- Be in good academic standing
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Submit a 500-word personal statement reflecting on one or more of the
following:
- A challenge they've faced or are currently facing — whether personal or health-related — and how they've persevered;
- A time they showed leadership or stayed actively engaged in their community, studies, or workplace despite that challenge;
- A demonstration of compassion or care for others, and how that connects to why they're pursuing a career in massage therapy.
